Juan Camacho León
Between 1987 and 1993, Juan Camacho León was appointed as a Professor at the Conservatório Superior de Música de Chiclayo (Superior Conservatory of Music of Chiclayo), where he taught Guitar, Harmony, and Choral Arrangament.
Composer, arranger and improviser .At the same time, he conducted studies of Violoncello, Double Bass and Clarinet, the piano being his second instrument.
In 1989 he won the First Prize at the First National Classical Guitar Competition organized by the Juventudes Musicales del Perú in Lima, having performed numerous concerts, as a soloist throughout his country (Peru) and in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil of Ecuador.

Juan Camacho León has participated in masterclasses with Roland Dyens, David Starobin, David Russell, Costas Cotsiolis, Eduardo Isaac, Roberto Aussell , Hopkinson Smith, Ricardo Gallén , Joaquin Clerch, Carles Trepat y Jesús Castro Balbi . Parallel to his masterclass studies, he has kept up an active life playing Jazz since 1994, and in 2000 has particpated in the International Jazz Festival of Faro..
He was a Professor at the Academia de Lagos (Academy of Lagos) during the years of 2009 and 2017 having not only realised concerts in this city (Lagos) but also in its municipalities such as Lisbon, Braga, Albufeira, Portimão and Faro.
He completed the fifth year of Classical Piano studies in 2004 at the Beja Conservatory and the Bachelor of Music at the Universidade de Évora (University of Évora) in 2006.

In August 2013 he performed two important Jazz concerts in Taiwan-China. And during the years 2014/2015 he has been performing recitals and concerts as a soloist in the area of Classical Music and Jazz.
During the 2017/2019 period he worked as a Professor at the Escola da Bemposta-Portimão (School of Bemposta – Portimão).
He is currently a Professor at the Academia de Música Portimão (Portimão Academy of Music) and at the Conservatório Regional Baixo (Alentejo Baixo Alentejo Regional Conservatory).

DISC - MUSIC FOR FLUTE AND GUITAR
October 2008
In 2008 he recorded a disc with music for flute and guitar with the peruvian flutist César Peredo at the city of Lima, Peru with the composers Mauro Giuliani and Astor Piazzolla’s original works for flute and guitar.
